I am responsible for the day to day running of the royal saracens head. This involves recruitment, deployment of labour, guests service, due diligence, running a safe business, hr, training and development of team, events, ensuring brand standards are in a place daily, Stock control. I report directly to the general manager who over sees the running of the business
I have learnt plenty of skills since I started with Mitchell’s and butlers. This has mainly been done though the training platform mable. I started off as a barman so where I pulled my first pint to now at the present moment I am currently doing a degree where I am learning about the operational side of how a plc company runs
It is hard work and entails me doing lots of work outside of my contracted 48 hours, but I do enjoy pushing my limits and M&B have given me a great opportunity to do this. But I go to work with a smile on my face every day as everyday is different.
I feel the structure of the degree program could be better.
M&B and in particular my rbm and my general manager are extremely supportive and are pushing and developing myself. Finically academically and guiding me.
Mmu and the tutors have been ver supportive.
It’s good getting differnt opinions on how a business runs
