  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes, there are plenty of activities available across many different IBM sites, sadly the Portsmouth site is one of the smaller sites so there isn't as much going on, but still a fair amount.

  • 9a. Would you recommend IBM to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Being inside of one of the leading tech companies is such an amazing opportunity and it will springboard your future massively. Also IBM is such a forward thinking company when it comes to equality and in general all over the staff are extremely friendly and diverse!

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to IBM?
  • Don't worry about what grades you have at A-Levels or University! I didn't do great at my a-levels but I still managed to get in... that completely amazed me! IBM isn't just looking for the A* student, they're looking for problem solvers and creative thinkers. Someone that can bring a fresh and innovative idea to the table.
