I am a commercial analyst, this involves looking at speadsheets and then analysing the data within them I have to be able to give a reason as to why I am billing the client a certain amount. Sometimes I have to chase people and ask questions around the spreadsheet, but eventually I invoice the client the number I have worked out. I have interactions with the client regularly as I have meetings with them to discuss the work I am doing.
I came into my apprenticeship with very little knowledge of the business world, but with my role I learnt complex excel and learned basics of business. I have been on a course in Amsterdam about RPA, a course about consulting and I have done 3 internal badges. From being in my role I have learnt about team work and effective communication, like writing emails effectively, and have also developed as a person because I am constantly around people and am learning how to become a professional consultant.
I enjoy my programme a lot because there is a lot of support, every 6 weeks we have meet ups about how our apprenticeship is going and how we can map our successes to the criteria we need to pass. This is great because it reminds me how much I am actually completely from my day to day role. Also if there is ever an issue there is a great apprenticeship community that are always willing to help as well as our managers.
I think the apprenticeship programme I am on is very structured, we have an online forum where we submit evidence and can track our progress. For our end point assessment we need to submit a certain amount of evidence to show we have succeeded in the skills we need to be a good consultant and this help to see where there may be gaps in my learning or experiences. Not only that but we have group sessions every six weeks and also meetings with our apprenticeship managers to support us and make sure we stay on track.

I have received lots of support from my training provider, especially through tough times.
It all linked together which is what I like about the apprenticeship on and off the job learning
There are not so many now. But there have been opportunities
Yes
Great place to work, great support
I would have liked to been told that there was a matching pool, and that the process can take a long time
