My job role involves a lot of communication between different internet providers for example BT is a very big company we talk to and use their service to keep our terminals up. I also design circuits which are then actually installed to a clients site that provides our service to the client at a certain speed for example 10mb, 50mb, 100mb, 1gb, and more
I have learnt quite a few new skills due to having courses provided by QA i have gained certificates like coding and logistics. This certificate can allow me to expand my skills into something better within the company or else where. By having multiple skills can allow me to do jobs or activities I like doing in my own time or at work.
This is my first programme as I have just finished secondary school meaning I was the first youngest person to take a massive job role in a very progressive company like Bloomberg. The people I met within the company and the courses are really friendly and give really good advise for my future and present.
My programme is well structured as I had courses almost every month. I total the amount of courses was 5 but I will still have to resit one due to having problems passing the very first and hardest course out of all. Yet everything else within the programme is well organised and if there is any problems I could just talk to the skills coach I have and it will be rearranged for me.
The amount of support I get from my employers is just more than enough. I would say that when ever I'm stuck in a confusing or hard situation I would just ask one of my colleges and they will try to fix the situation I'm in. Overall they couldn't be any better.
My training provider gives enough support for example giving me useful hints for a certain task to do (coursework). Gives a way that I can do work progressively. Sets up courses if i have failed it at any time. Most likely the course will be redone fully but it is better than just taking the test as you may not have revised well than before
From the qualifications i have gained makes me perform more efficiently than before as I did not have the common knowledge to do a task comparing to now. I understand more technical stuff in much more detail. As I have done the qualifications there will be no way in not understanding anything again
There are many events happening within the company. Bloomberg themselves have a special function called BOB. This allows you to skim through events that may come to interest and if there is any space available you can happily take a spot and volunteer for that specific event you have choose.
Yes
There is many possibilities in progressing in Bloomberg no matter what job role you have there will never be a way that nothing can happen. Bloomberg will try to find a role for you that may be in an interest depending on what the person likes and does in their spare time or done via college or sixth form
Always be prepared for what you would like doing. If the current role you chose might not be as you expected you can look into a different direction. For example I wanted to be a software developer but their for no such thing in Bloomberg how ever I did find something familiar that may interest me that involved something to do technical and physical
