MEP apprentice engineer Review

my job time gets split into time on site as well as time in the office,when in the office i help the design teams and work closely to project managers and when i'm on site i get the chance to learn a lot about Sewage/treatment works and how JN Bentley carry out their projects.

i have developed many new skills in the sense of engineering, I have become familiar with reading drawings and filling in spreadsheets with information that will help engineers on many other projects. I have also developed better communication skills and have matured well from being around older people and i am more confident meeting new people.

I am enjoying this programme so far and i am looking forward to my next couple of years working towards it. At first i found it a bit challenging but i've settled in well and am enjoying all the work we are being given and am completing it correctly also.

from my point of view the programme seems well planned out and i feel comfortable and confident with what i can expect with my future with JN bentley.i am aware of all the levels of my apprenticeship i have to complete and i feel confident that i will do so.

I receive a lot of support and advice from my employer,they have been generous compared to other companies in what they offer apprentices and the opportunities they can give you.They have welcomed me into the office warmly and also i feel comfortably asking anyone for help and support.

I've received a lot of support from the college and whenever i need help or advice they are happy to help at all times.for example when i was away on holiday my training provider pushed me to catch up on the work and gave me further advice on these subjects.

I feel the work we are doing with our training provider makes things easier when entering a work place because i can become for familiar with different engineering aspects quicker then i would if i wasn't with a training provider.Doing the training also gives me confidence doing work.

yeah there is a team in the office who organise social events and there are many opportunities to take part in social and sports events.there are things organised like football night,ping pong tournaments and also quizzes at dinner time where the winner of these things will receive a prize.

because of the opportunities they offer in and after the apprenticeship and they are a generous company.there are not many companies who will take on young apprentices like myself onto such a job but I've tried my best to make the most of it and dedicating myself to this job

to take the opportunity when you can and to stay dedicated and always seek work when possible.also you must become familiar with things like time sheets and positive interventions reports as soon as you can because they become hard to remember of you don't know what to do with them
