Arrive on site 7:15 to attend morning briefing at 7:30, after briefing set the lads off with whatever theyre doing e.g. sorting pipe levels lines etc and just general record keeping, materials ordering and checking on the works during the day.
Learnt how to use all engineering equipment to a good standard and gather a better understanding of the construction world.
It is good when youre tasked with certain jobs and there is lots of work to be getting on with, but work often dries up as an engineer and at times become laborious. Overall its been ok but can certainly be better.
I believe that it is quite poorly structured and organised because as an apprentice I don't hear much back from the HR department to check how im getting along and im never sure if im learning enough when on site.
Not as much as what should be offered as its not very often people check up on you to see how youre feeling about work etc. I have been well supported however in terms of the amount of training ive had.
The start of the course was very poor and not much support at all was offered. Towards the back end of the course it has been very good due to a change in personnel etc
I don't believe it has helped me to perform so much better as the course hasn't been specified towards the types of civils Bentleys offer but it has helped me to learn about other parts of construction.
No there isn't any for the site teams
Yes
I would due to the fact of the financial benefits which are offered to an apprentice which is excellent, but I wouldn't recommend it due to the fact you'll feel left in the dark as an apprentice.
I would ultimately say do extensive research before you apply to fully make sure that this is the company for you.
