I am a Business Design Analyst and my day to day role consists of being involved in the design or modification of business systems or IT systems. I interact with the business stakeholders and subject matter experts in order to understand their problems and needs. I gather documents and analyse business needs and requirements.
Yes I have learnt a lot of new skills but I have also developed lots of my current existing skills. A lot of the new skills I have learnt have been fairly job specific but I have also learnt a lot of things i can take into other roles in the future
I really enjoy the programme I am currently taking part in. I have met some really great people and everyone has been really supportive and it really seems like they are all supporting me. I look forward to going in to work every day and hope that i continue to feel this way
It is fairly well organised and structured, the only part that was not very well organised / structured was the communication side of speaking with Firebrand, noone reall knew what was meant to be happening and deciding on my course was a very difficult process. But besides that its been brilliant
I receive a lot of support from my employer, as previously stated everyone is really willing to help me with anything that i want, i really feel part of the team rather than a burden if that makes sense. I have about seven different people i can turn to instantly with any little problem i may have
I have not yet started my training but they have been really good so far in the way that they are preparing me completely for when i begin the training, they have answered very fast with all the information i need when i request it. And I have multiple people that help me
So far i would not know as I have not completed or started my apprenticeship course, but i am sure that as soon as i start it will be really beneficial to me and what i am trying to achieve in my day to day role as a business analyst
Yes absolutely loads of things you can do, there are multiple things going on withing my department alone and there are always emails asking for more people to join in with more activities that are running. Also there are a lot of citizenship events that I get invited to a lot
Yes
Because it has been everything i could ask for and more so far, I have learnt so much and feel like everyone should get the chance i have received. Everything has been brilliant from start to finish and i really hope it stays this way. It is also really good pay
Really make the employer know that you want the apprenticeship, make them know you are really interested and really keen to get started and become part of the business. Remember as well that they are looking for people that really want to be there, show them the skills you have and how they will benefit the business
