I work with processing refunds, sending letters, and loan servicing work and there are lots of different processed to do and to learn which will really help me to grow in barclays and achieve team goals as well as my own personal goals which is a really really great aspect
I have learnt more on my organisational skills as well as time keeping, heightened mathematics and a big increase in confidence when doing a lot of speaking in front of other people and talking in workflow meetings which is great for my growth with in the barclays work place here
The working at barlcays side is great however the communication between the provider as well as our Apprentice coach is quite poor. I like the work i do here however in the first year the coursework part was relatively poor and there was not enough communication between us and trainer
working amazing i feel more responsible for the work i do and i like learning about the process i do however the was a lack of organisation for the coursework part with my training provider. on test days the systems which we used didnt work which shows lack of preparation
I get loads of support from my team leader who is willing to help whenever she can and we have regular one to one meeting to discuss my progress and possible things i can look at doing as well as what i am doing well currently and were to improve
It was not a great amount of support as I was left confused quite often however the tutor we had was really good and able to make things simple once we were able to reach her which admittedly was not as often as i would have liked which wasnt good
I believe i improved my IT skills which is a great thing to improve for the job role as we use computers a lot in work and it has helped my excel skill as a lot of our work is based on the office program excel spreadsheets which is great
Yes we do LifeSkills sessions outside of the workplace which involves going to schools outside of work and talking about a number of things such as money skills life skills and also talking about the apprenticeship in general which has helped with my confidence when speaking in front of people
Yes
I believe it is a great apprenticeship however it was hindered by the training providers in the first year as there was a lack of communication with them and my employers meaning that i was left in a confused state for a lot of the first year which wasnt good
I would say be confident and be prepared for anything as the empolyers are all about working with your strengths and as time goes on withing the workplace your strength will really show and be willing within barclays as you will need to be prepared to get out of comfort
