I have learnt numerous skill during my qualification so far, I have learnt confidence as I get up and do a lot of speeches, I have also learnt about my brand and how it can affect how I'm perceived this has helped me discover how to better myself at work
I get asked many time do I ever think of going back and going the traditional route but I always so now as I love my job I get the same thing as any other student but I also have work experience and get paid to do so, I love my programme as I have learnt so much more about myself and feel full supported at work and college
my programme is very well structed we have a career coach model and we also ensure that the apprentices has 4 point of contact, line manager, tech buddy, apprentice buddy and career coach which is someone from the apprentice team. there will always be work to improve as there always is
I receive so much support in a way of a development plan a weekly to do lists weekly meeting with my managers, weekly meeting with another team member. here at Barclays I feel very support much then I did at high schools. the best part is that they don't over crowd you as well they let you be you and offer guidance
my manager has ensured that I get my college time in as she meeting with my college tutor she has also told me to book out a full day and don't let any work stuff get in the middle. this is such a great system as I get my college work done due to this.
my college course is and isn't related to my job - it is very hard o find a course that will fit perfectly to the role but they have definitely picked on of the best ones and it does cover most aspects of Human resources which is what I fall under
here at Barclays they strive you to get involved in so many activities ranging from golf to rugby. we also have lunches throughout the year which help to support our progression as some of the big bosses are there. we also hold many volunteering event which we encourage everyone to get involved in
Yes
I would recommend Barclays to a friend as I have never been this happy before. I wake up in the morning looking forward to going to work. that challenge you so much but they do this as they care. I have never met an employer who cares this much about their employees
I would always say it is always worth applying as I thought I would never get a job at a bank as I didn't have A-Levels and the only work experience I have was in fast food - I would say never be scared of failure because if you are scared to fail then you already have failed
