Working like an actual Engineer and learning a small bit about the basics. Diagnosing Laptops and repairing them with some phone calls along the way to help us with our process. Challenged and set goals to achieve what we should aim for. Aiming for 4 units a week on a 2 day a week period.
i did not learn a lot in the training sides of things other than the basics such as health and safety - how to deal and handle things within the buisness. Learning what not to do within the environment of the work. However when it came to learning about cable management and things that could potentially become useful - it was very poor. Not very organised.
i enjoy my work experience as i learn from myself working on units and finding errors i make and then prevent that from happening again in the future. These are also things i can also do when not at work as i use computers at come too which is good. however i think it can be un-organised at some points such as setting up a computer for everyone to work on (notes).
i was as organised as i could be - i set out my desk in a pattern which helped me work for the better - example can include - screw layout, marking which screws are for what hole etc. However when the business could not supply all of us with the correct tools or the correct equiptment needed (computer) then i struggled keeping organised.
i learnt as much as i could working at the company and the people in the building im in are very nice and seem approachable and happy to talk if i need anything. Some things i would like to change however it is all good and nice enough to work. learning from speaking with others.
The only thing that changed my opinion on career was whether to apply for the apprentiship or not. i researched online - looking at the reviews working here and as it seemed quite un-organised i was quite uneasy. however seen as though i learnt to adapt - i kind of enjoy working here and want to learn more. i always new i was wanting to work with computers but this helped me roughly choose.
we were paid for the work experience here at team knowhow - it was a lovely amount of money. i dont know what else to write about the paid sides of things but i enjoy the pay i am at now. and the ammount id be getting if i got the job for an apprentice.
not really, there is an online website where we can speak however we are not allowed to use it when we should be working which is all the time so i dont really have time to message or get to know other employees online. in person i tend to get to know people by myself.
Yes
because it is good pay and a enjoyable surrounding to work in. they follow good rules which keep it as safe as possible and try make everyone happy most of the time. you can get adapted quite easily so its not that scary or worrrying as the people are kind.
Whether they know enough about computers to understand and enjoy what could potenially be their job. This job is great but not for everyone so id let them know the good and bad parts like there is in every job. and see if they are s till intrested and if they are then help them get in touch.
