Warehouse and storage Level 2 Review

During the Apprenticeship I was in different departments: Stock Inventory, Compliance Team, Operations Inbound- Outband, RDC, HFC. I spent 3 months -ish in every department. I completed a lot of tasks as: scheduled counts, discrepancy count, investigation about missing items internal and external(Stock Inventory), challenged people to follow the procedures(Compliance Team), picking-moves-put away goods in warehouse(Operations) and meet lovely people in Campus.

Every day I learned new things from my colleagues and managers I developed my knowledge about warehouses and storage, I improved my English and functional skills, I improved my IT skills(Exel, Word, Power Point) and learned how to work in Catalyst(made adjustments). I learned to drive a fork lift (FLT truck).

I am really happy because I applied for an Apprenticeship with Dixons Carphone & Lincoln College. I meet lovely people, devoted and ready to help you to enjoy every day and forgot you are at work. I learned how is to be part from The Knowhow Team and to put all the effort and pleasure to make us and special the customer happy.

The programme was in my opinion very well organised/structured we had all the time books and brochures available, we had several meetings(every 2-3 weeks) with specific subjects(Health and Safety, Safeguarding,How to be an effective team worker, MHE safety policy at work, develop effective working relationship with colleagues in logistic operations)

I was very well surprised, the managers and my colleagues were very supportive, they teach me step by step all the procedures I supposed to follow all the programme and it was a good experience. I meet here very nice people they help me all the time of my Apprenticeship.

I had all the support I needed during the 18 months of the Apprenticeship, keeping all the time contact with emails, by phone. They provide me on line curses: Onfile, KSBSB level 1 an level 2, provide me a private assessor ready to help me and give me support in any situation.

During my Apprenticeship I had a lot of time to learn all the procedures and the most important is I applied in warehouse - that it helped me to understand better how I supposed to proceed in different situations and to act as a professional and perform better in my role.

We had some extra- curricular activities at work as social activities: celebrate birthday of a colleagues with chocolates or similar, celebrate the small victories, organize sports activities, organize out team building activities, plan some games or small competitions at the office, create tradition and follow every year; meetings with updates about Apprenticeship...
