My day to day role includes lots of testing and reconciling of companies financial statements, client interviews and form filling.
yes, my communication skills have increased massively from being at KPMG. I have had massive exposure to lots of talented people and interesting clients. The training we have received so far has taught me lots and helped with my job.
It has it's ups and downs as with any job but for the most part I have really enjoyed my time at KPMG and wouldn't change my decision.
I think my programme is very well structured. I am currently on my 2nd 6 month placement and will be rotating into a different department again in November.
I think the support from KPMG is for the most part really good. There's lots of socials going on which KPMG invests time and money into and mental health and wellbeing is an important subject across the firm.
We get study days and time off to compete our qualifications. I generally feel well supported and know the contacts for people to talk to if they're struggling.
It makes my role much easier. Accounting has lots of technical jargon attached and the AAT really helps you with that.
There at monthly socials in most departments as well as after work drinks on some Fridays. There is usually something to get involved with every week!
