Provide support to the information security team in collating and collecting audit evidence in order to ensure the business maintains compliance with industry standards. Maintain security risk registers in order to enhance risk visibility for the business and track mitigation as part of ongoing risk management. Within my first few months of my apprenticeship, i have learnt a load of new skills ranging from both hard, and soft skills. These include: Stakeholder Management Effective Communication Teamwork Leadership Business Awareness Problem Solving Initiative Customer Focus Self Management Presentation Resilience However, there are many more that I'm sure i'll learn along the way.
I am thoroughly enjoying the program, as I look forward to coming into work first thing in the morning, and seeing what opportunities I can get involved in. The amount of opportunity I get is amazing, and the amount of growth I have seen in myself in these few months is brilliant.
My program is extremely well structured, and I have never had any issues with it so far. everything is explained to me thoroughly, and any questions I may ask are answered honestly and thoughtfully. Everyone is easily contactable, and I'm able to get my questions answered almost immediately every time.

I have not yet started my training, however I'm sure that i'll receive as much support as needed. My first meeting with my skills coach went very well, and he is a very open and honest guy which makes it easier for everyone. He also replies quickly to my queries.
Once i have participated in an 18-month Cyber Security Technologist course, covering topics such as CompTIA Network+ and Security+, I feel that it would of laid a solid foundation of expert knowledge to deliver value back into the business. This then allows me to get more involved in certain tasks.
The two main activities I get involved with outside of work is the cricket and football team. Both of these teams are super friendly and welcoming to newbies, and the atmosphere during the game is always brilliant. I also take part in as many charity walks as possible around the pond.

It's just a brilliant place to work, and the amount of opportunity that you get within the business is outstanding. I'm able to grow to my full potential due to that amazing support that is given to me through the company. Also, the people you work with are also amazing :)
Just get involved with as much as you can! The amount of opportunity that is there is amazing, however it is your choice if you take it or not. The main thing to focus on doing is making as many connections as possible so that you're able to understand every aspect of the business.
