  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Role including to grab aspects of 4 main parts of the business which are Engineering, finance, project management and administration, this is to give me a great understanding of the business and how Siemens operate, it was also shown how all of these operations work together within Siemens and its customers.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have developed confidence in a business to achieve my goals and aspirations in my career, as well as many other skills like time management, this is always something Siemens has taught me to be better at and keep investing time to keep learning new ways to better the time management.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoyed working with experience professional people who have taught me many things, without these enjoyable people the experience would have been less enjoyable, another extend I have enjoyed is the appreciation and recognition of any good work you do, with small rewards being given from Siemens to show their grateful of the work I have done or doing.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme was organized well, apart from a hiccup which occur at the start which was not Siemens fault, this was due to the training provider shutting down the programme Siemens uses for training, this was quick change to a new training provider who where very quick with dealing with problems

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I received plenty of support from my employer to get the course work done under the flexible working hours, this enabled me to do adjust my work, course work and lifestyle around each other so I wouldn't miss out on any opportunities from any part of my lifestyle and work life

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I received weekly meetings from my training provider which helped me stay up to date with work load, manage timescales for course work and understand what tasks are still ahead of me, the training provider was also a phone away if a had any problems with the course work and help explain the task in a better way if needed.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The qualification helps me perform a better understanding of how basic business operates and what factors are put in place and why, this is used everyday in my working life, the qualification also helps the business recognize what I as an individual is capable of working with timescales that are not just work timescales

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Their are plenty of extra-curricular activities which are always posted on the Siemens social network, their are many activities like football, Thai boxing and Yoga. Their are also events that occur a couple times of the year for professional networking as well as days that support and promote issues like mental awareness

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • The benefits for Siemens work very well with the employee and employer, this is a very good balance and helps prevent stress levels as well as work like and home life interfering with each other. Another reason would be the people who work for Siemens tend to be very helpful inside and outside work life


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Siemens?
  • The Tips and advice I would give to others applying for Siemens are be polite, always show that your trying your best, give straight answers to any questions they give you, dress smart to an interview that may occur and be respectful to anyone or anything on the site which the interview may occur
