My day-to-day role consists of looking at Siemens apprenticeship data and breaking it down to create graphs, tables and materials. Also, in my role I'm asked to complete different payment records of apprenticeship funding double checking payments are correct and cover all apprentices on Siemens contracts. This is looking at data from gender spilt to payment records
From this apprenticeship I have gained more knowledge of formulas, functions and graphs in which I can use on Microsoft Excel. Also learnt and gained greater understanding on how apprenticeships work in terms of frameworks and standards, levy systems, QMS and data. In coming months should begin to learn a lot more with the college element of my apprenticeship beginning
My current programme I am completing is enjoyable to do and work on. With starting college should progress my knowledge as an IT professional and allow me to quickly and efficiently break data down. With the programme can be stressful/ difficult to try fit in couple of hours of college and make sure I record the time taken for my 20% off-the-job
My apprenticeship programme is very well structured and organised. From support I'm given to day-to-day work I can complete. The college work is more flexible as I have choice to when I complete each part of my course which can be difficult to fit in but gives me freedom. Sometimes I feel can be difficult to fit in because of deadlines I am set from employers
I receive a lot support for any issues I have with work or college. The support I'm offered I can't say I could get offered anymore. For new tasks I'm asked to complete I will be offered support if I need it any and all questions. The support from any member of the team is outstanding
From my training provider I get offered support on safeguarding, prevent and all sorts. They are always a phone call away if needed and general attitude towards me is faultless. Only issues with support is if I send emails could be waiting a while for a reply. As well as I've been told I would be given a coach except I'm still unsure on who actually my tutor
In my current I feel the training from college would be useful to progress my knowledge and the ability to process data for the entire department quicker and more efficient. The database tools will come in use to the future. The qualification will give me a massive opportunity to become an IT professional gaining valuable knowledge in field of data analyst
At work there isn't many extra-curricular activities. Couple times a year may go on work night out. I wish there was more extra-circular activities like sports wise, weather football. At Siemens there though sense of community and willingness to help overs. As a Siemens employee do get invited to different gala awards
Yes
I would recommend Siemens to a friend because of the different opportunities and complexity of the business. To work for a global business feels you of pride and gives you real drive to succeed to more up the ladder of such a good company. Also, the chances they give to any members of staff to up skill current knowledge is amazing and keeps loyal
I would give the tips of just make sure you work had and grab any chances which are going because the opportunities are there to progress up the ladder of a global company. Another piece of advice would be to be yourself in the interviews and try get across how you work and what you can do, you never know what they are looking for
