In my role at the post office I Support post office owners and their staff in the day to day running of their businesses. I send out email, training and letters to the branches that I look after. I also call branches of something hasn't gone right and will offer training is it is needed.
I have developed myself in meetings - I am alot more confident when speaking. My written work is more acurate and grammatically corect. I have also developed myself on the phone. I have learnt how to plan and organise better in my role at the post office. I have also upped my maths and English knowledge.
I enjoy getting better with my maths - it has improved so much since starting this course with lifetime training. I have also developed my English to a higher standard. I enjoy finding out about personal development plans and the different ways of planning and organising. I also enjoy finding out what been a manager is like.
At the begining I feel the course was not very organisned, I had three different tutors within the first eight weeks so I was not able to settle in my course and didn't know what I was ment to be doing. Since having Sarah I feel that the programme is well organished and we'll structured.
I receive alot of support from my employer. I get plenty of time to complete my work. Regular meetings to see how my course is going and anything that I am concerned about. I also receive support from my colleagues who are happy to help at any point in my course.
She is very supportive and is happy to answer any worries or questions i have. She is also very motivating when I don't feel very motivated or when I get worried that I won't be able to complete the course. The maths tutor that I recently have was very helpful and helped me to understand some of maths I didn't understand.
I feel that my qualification helps me on all aspects of my role including on the phone, written communication and in meetings. In the future I would like to progress in my career. Doing this course helps me understand what managers do in their roles. My qualification has also help me self reflect on areas that may need provement.
I believe their are quiet a few extra curricular activities outside of work. I work part time on a Monday and Tuesday so the only two I know off are Meditation and bun sales. There are lots of networking events in other sectors of the post office. Chistmas parties happen every year too so a chance to get to know all your colleagues.
Yes
Post office takes car of its employers and everyone is treated fairly. Post office is a good, reputable company to work for. There are always opportunities to better yourself like the course I'm currently doing. I get good job satisfaction and enjoy working for the post office. So overall a very good company to work for!
Practice your interview technique as sometimes the interviews are tricky. Do your Research on the post office they do more than than just posting letters. Post office and royal mail seperated a while back and are know two separate companies so cannot deal with each others customer queries. Post office are a good reputable company to work for.
