I'm an Moment Banker, my role is to provide excellent customer services and to generate growth. I also work as team to support the market and to work with the management to build up networking events, also to work with the community to build links with Barclays bank UK.
Ive developed my skills in approaching customers and telephony based skills, it has also build my regulatory knowledge in the reason why the bank does what it does, and the reason by the FCA and the PRA. It has also build my confidence in the financial industry and my own financial knowledge.
I enjoyed it for the skills it gave me, I also enjoyed the knowledge which I received and how its let me build the knowledge of the team. I also enjoyed the support of the bank and the banks internal team within Barclays to progress further within the organisation and learn further skills.
Was well structured before the outsourcing of the programme, before the outsourcing the coaches were great and the 1-2-1 support really helped, regular updates of the course and the work I was completing, my coach was always on hand. After the outsourcing I felt the support wasn't there and not happy with the overall planning.
A lot of support from my management giving me the time, making sure that I was being helped with revision, also help with looking at my work and suggesting improvements. also helped with being given the secondment in the MB role allowed me to experience the regulations first hand, like KYC.
A lot with helping me plan, the resources that were given was great and the tests were great in testing my knowledge before the RBCB test, it also linked into my coursework with the technical works to go in it, this helped improve the quality of my coursework and the overall quality of my portfolio.
It helps me explain the reason behind what the bank does, in terms of the literature in the way it is laid out, also it looks good on my business cards and makes me more appealing to a customer to talk to. Also makes me more recognised in my role.
There are events for lifeskills and the digital support bar, which allows us to support customers with their different needs, and also allows me to go into the community to support on different events, such as fraud or interview skills. also as a team we get involved in football and different sports.
Yes
Barclays is a great organisation to work for, my team and management are great, gives me the support to crack on in my role. Pay and benefits are also great and allows me to enjoy my life and to build on my goals that I want to achieve, my colleagues are also great to work for.
How to be helpful and to work as great as a team, also be honest in all answers given in the assessment and once in the job, to work as hard as possible to make the team successful. Also integrity is also important, so the team as a whole is happy.
