My role at Bright Future Software is an Apprentice Software Developer. I work with different people within the company working on commercial projects, since starting at Bright Future I have worked on commercial projects for big companies such as the BBC. There are many different opportunities at Bright Future and I am currently learning new skills by working with the mobile team. I am now responsible for managing and helping a small group of Level 3 apprentices.
Since I joined Bright Future I have had the opportunity to learn many different new skills. My skills have been developed by the training that has been provided by Bright Future, or by the commercial work that I now carry out daily. Bright Future have given me the opportunity to take professional qualifications outside of work time to help improve my knowledge in specific areas.
I am currently really enjoying Bright Future, this is down to the amount of commercial work that I am helping the company with. Another reason I am enjoying Bright Future is because of the responsibilities that I am now being given, such as managing a small group of Level 3 apprentices.
I feel that Bright Future software value all of their employees. The reason I believe this is because there are special 'treats' laid on by Bright Future, for example a small graduation when you complete your Level 3 apprenticeship.
As we were the first group to join Bright Future they had not had any apprentices complete the course the way they had planned yet, therefore it was not going to be perfect. Although there were a few issues to start of with for the first group, this issues have now been resolved and the way in which the course is structured has improved a lot. There are now many more trainers employed within the company that are willing to give their time to support you with your assignments.
I believe that the support given by the trainers and commercial members of staff at Bright Future is very good. Both commercial and trainers are willing to give up their spare time to help you with your assignments, and will send any help they can. Because of the broad knowledge our trainers have within the company, if one can't answer your question, you are almost guaranteed that another trainer will be able to.
I believe that we receive the same amount of support from out commercial team than what we get from the training team. Both aspects of the company want us to improve and want us to succeed, therefore are willing to help in any way they can. The new commercial members of staff that are getting employed help to improve the technical knowledge of apprentices when they are on commercial projects.
My current salary meets any costs that I have, I believe that the current salary I am earning is fair as the company are willing to pay for my degree and any professional qualifications that will improve my knowledge, and could help me to have a positive impact on the business.
The company organise team building activities within work, as working as a strong team is essential in this job. They also organise company nights out, like bowling.
Yes
I would recommend Bright Future to a friend as I believe it is a very good opportunity due to the degree and the almost guaranteed job, if you show you can work hard enough and want to be here!
If you are applying to Bright Future I recommend that you visit the website, as there is lots of information on there, and if you ever have any questions, just ring up and I am sure someone will help you out.
