I didn’t know what I wanted to do after school and college so took a job at booking.com to work as an analyst, 8 years later I’ve progressed in my career and now manage our key airline partnerships. I work with these airlines to merchandise our solutions to aid their customers in completing their travel package. As I have entered a business development role without a business degree booking.com are funding through an apprenticeship scheme for me to also complete a B2B sales degree whilst in my role.
i have learnt valuable new skills from undertaking my degree and as i am currently working in a sales role i can context all of the course material and am able to directly implement some of these new skills i have learnt which will aid me in becoming a highly skilled reliable sales professional.
the course material is good and perfect for the role i am doing and as the people on the course have varying roles in different companies its great to get insight into to different peoples industry, i very much enjoy working with the people on the course, we all help each other which creates a really great learning atmosphere.
i think the programmed could be more organized. its difficult when you have a full time job where you travel and we don't receive course dates and essay deadlines until a few months before and I've have to move a lot of my meetings around to accommodate which can easily be avoided.
i receive a great amount of support from my employer and my manager has a monthly 121 with me to make sure i don't have any concerns and to ask me how everything is going and my targets can be aligned to the assignments i am doing on my course so i don't feel like i am taking on too much.
the training providers are always available for a call to discuss the essays and assignments so although i haven't needed too much of their support its good to know whenever i need support the training providers will always make time to help me and answer any questions i have.

yes there is plenty to do, we have our own facebook at work which means anyone in the business can start a group and invite people to network, e.g. their are hiking groups, horse racing days, yoga classes and even a choir so it very much feels like an inclusive environment.
Yes
I would recommend working here, i have a very strong sense of belonging to booking.com, they have high ethical values and support the staff. i feel i am seen as a person and not an employee :). I have been working here for 8 years and have never left or wanted to leave, its hard to find another company who have the same culture.
some of our key values our straight talking, getting the job done and of course having fun. So if i could give anyone advice it would be yourself, one of the most important things to all staff here is that we continue to have a great culture so in any interviews let your personality really come through :)
