  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have enjoyed this program and the opportunity it has presented to work across various business areas and a wide stakeholder group. Balancing work and uni has been difficult but that was expected

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The first year of the program was not organised very well, this was due to it being the first instant it was ran through a contact center, this improved as the course progressed but still much improvement needed.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • There are some aspects of the course that have supported greatly in my day to day role, such as leadership culture and change management. However some learning is yet to factor into my roles mostly due to limit exposure to areas such as finance planning and marketing.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes there are many sports events and social activities however despite many professional networking events being available most tend to lean towards higher management level attendees. Due to university commitments it is also difficult to find the time to attend these type of events.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Barclays to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • As a whole the company has strong values, ethics and diverse employee culture which promotes innovation and pro-activity in staff. There is still some remnants of the old world leadership structure and as a result some business decision are not always the right ones but as a whole Barclays is a great place to be as it moves forward.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Barclays?
  • Make the most of your time on the course, it flies by so quickly that you may regret saying no to an opportunity while on the course. If you put the work in early you will set yourself up well for the increase in difficulty from a uni perspective.
