I am in a Build, Delivery and Design team within Barclays take on data migration projects to 'Build the Bank'. I cover anything from mapping data, testing data and the programs for reporting purposes.
Before starting my apprenticeship I did not know anything about data. I have now learnt how to code in SAS, python and R. With those skills i have created program that produce reports for my team.
I enjoy learning the new coding languages along with learning how to work with a wide rang of colleges located around the world.
There are a few areas where it could be improved. Firebrand have been a bit touch and go where I submit any work to them and they have take 3/4 month to get back to me with any feedback.
I have revived a large amount of support include a development plan put in place to improve my weaker area's.
Not that much. Like maintained before they have take 3/4 month to get back to me regarding feedback for my project and the course revision packs have just been handed over for us to complete before our exams.
Not a lot, I feel that I have learnt more by completing my day-to-day activities within work.
I get involved in citizenship days where my team help the local community.
Yes
I believe the work ethic and atmosphere here is brilliant. There is also a lot of space for anyone's development as long as you have the right people to help to succeed.
Make sure that you are wanting the job because you want to make the place better show your true colors and you will go a long way.
