Electrical Engineering Apprentice. Daily tasks include, Routine inspections, Planned corrective work and general housekeeping. I interact with a number of people throughout the day on site, most of all the tradesmen I work alongside.
I have learnt many new skills and upgraded my overall knowledge of the trade. I have also been on a training course to become a permit to work acceptor and will be attending other courses throughout the remainder of my apprenticeship. I attend college on a Monday as well.
I am enjoying the day to day tasks and the team are all very helpful in their own different ways, some are more experienced than others, however the less experienced tradesmen give a useful insight into new tried and tested methods of carrying out a job. I am proud to work for such a highly respected company worldwide.
I am treated with respect by my managers and site leadership directors. I do feel valued by the company to some extent.
I had no problems with the course at college last year or this year, and I do not foresee any problems with future learning.
If I have any issues or problems with anything there is a number of people I can contact.
Again, any problems there are a number of people I can contact.
The salary is fair as well as the wage rise based on performance. It supports my overall living costs.
Orange day. Corporate membership for a gym.
Yes
It is a great place to work with friendly people and can give someone to oppertunity to develop a great carreer if they put the time and effort in.
Make sure you know what it is you want to do before you apply, and research or take part in qualifications based on that trade or job type. If you have an relevant experience then add that into your application and make sure the company know you are passionate about that given field. Be friendly confident and interact with others being interviewed, don't act like its a competition even if they do. Most importantly enjoy the experience.
