My role is to proactively track and monitor my team's aligning issues identifying changes to our pipeline. Doing this ensures accurate demand planning/resource management and we liaise with the correct stakeholders. It also ensures issues are promptly identified allowing for our assurance process to take place in a timely manner in compliance with our issues management standard. I also prompt my team for ICP chasers and various ad-hoc tasks.
I have learned many skills throughout my apprenticeship, this includes: Time Management, People Skills, Communication Skills, Computing Skills including the use of excel. I have learned about how Barclays functions and the risk/control framework in place to aid remediation and prevent risk occurrence. I have completed citizenship work and team building throughout.

Very. The programme consists of course work, job training and apprentice/PD objectives. This has been completed in a timely manner with great support throughout. Lots. I have weekly 121's with my manager to discuss the apprenticeship/my objectives and work load. I can ask for any support required and my employer works with me in addressing this. Throughout the apprenticeship my employer has provided me with a great working experience and training materials allowing for me to learn lot's about the area I work in.
Lots. Support is proactive and consistent throughout. I have frequent catch ups to discuss progress and address queries where appropriate. My training provider has provided me with many resources and great quality training throughout. Training was completed in block modules with an exam at the end of each module and great support from the tutors.
It helps to provide an understanding of technology and how it functions. Alongside this I understand how an infrastructure technician should function within their job and I'm able to apply the understandings within my role. Key areas this helped to improve understanding include Business Processes, OS, Networking, Coding and cloud.
There are many opportunities to get involved with. I am a part of the CCO Citizenship Working group where I work with other CCO Colleagues in promoting and completing events. Our team have social events to ensure team networking and team building takes place outside of the office. Many events take place within Barclays and these are circulated via email.
