  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • The RSM role is overviewing the clients accounts making sure that everything is okay. Staying in contact with the client to ensure everything is going okay and maintaining the relationship between them and the bank. help with any issues they may have or answer any queries.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt may new skills such as the systems that are used for this job. Also, I have developed my presentation skills, as well as, mu writing skills via email.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy the program and what it offers for the future. however I believe that for first year in Gabrook it should be a product specialist role or a servicing role.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The program is fairly well structured. You understand that you will have 3 rotations and when you shall be going to the university. However, there could be better organisation with planning for hotels and travel when it is the university week.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a lot of support through my employer. I have received support with my dyslexia and my development in the RSM role.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive a fair amount of support especially from certain tutors who are always happy to help. Also knowledgepool are very helpful with the apprenticeship

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel that I learn a lot with both the qualification and my job role as the degree is very corporate focused and I have been able to learn things in the role to help me with my studies and vise versa.

  • Yes we can provide digital eagle training for clients.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Barclays to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Because I believe that the company as a whole are investing a lot into young people who are willing to learn and develop themselves. Also, the overall environment of the bank and its employees is friendly and people are always willing to help.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Barclays?
  • Make sure that you stay focused. There are so many opportunities in the bank so don't feel that you have to follow a certain path. Always ask for help, whether this be with a job or through developing yourself. Help is always around somewhere at Barclays.
