My role is to work my way up to be fit enough for a retail management role. Each year I progress within the retail roles to ensure I understand everyone's responsibility within the retail store. With this knowledge, I am able to help manage our customer expectations by enabling all staff to work to their best ability.
I have developed skills within leadership as well as management of task as well as other skills such as people management
I wake up excited for the day as each day presents new challenges and opportunities to better ourselves and processes. I have been involved in various projects and hope to be involved in our strategies going forward.
The programme is honestly very well set out however due to it being rolled out for the first time.. There are a few issues. One issue being managers unaware of modules and their deadlines so I have fed this back to my team and I know that this will be rectified.
All the support I need. I genuinely feel spoiled sometimes but this is due to my managers recognising my efforts and allowing me to manage my own tasks accordingly.
Support is always offered and I have actually asked my manager/mentor to enable me to get him more involved with my deadlines of which he's more than happy to help
It does controlibute considerably but I think there is still room to better link it to the business industry. This could be done via feedback from previous apprentices in similar roles
