My job role differs daily by the different problems and issues that occur. Some parts do include independent working which are good but others I can only watch over which is understandable as I am experienced and there are deadlines to be met.
I have developed my knowledge so much further from first starting the job and an even greater amount know I am in a work based placement.
I really enjoy the work I am doing and it is exciting with what can come in the future if I work for it.
Of course an apprentice will always start from the bottom but that is so they can develop and work up in years to come, with the investment and training the company has placed into me, I feel valued well.
From the companies side of things I cannot fault the structure however the college which is external does not reflect this as well.
Anything i need to know or ask is easily just an email or phone call away from the apprentice adviser.
The company provides good support however it is mainly provided through the college. However the managers and HR department work well together to ensure we are in the best positions as long as we put in the effort and time.
The salary is one of the best compared to other companies I applied for and looked into, not to mention the car scheme allowing apprentices to have brand new cars.
Yes, there are local career events to promote the company and apprenticeship scheme. There are also other aspects the company provides such as apprentice football team and an onsite gym.
Yes
If this was an industry/area they were keen to look into and peruse a career then BMW offer them a great opportunity to do so.
Be keen to put the effort in and work for what you want as this company will value it and give you much more in return.
