Tool maker Review

As an apprentice tool maker i am tasked with dsy to day jobs such as the repair, servicing and modification of dies and jigs.

As an apprentice i have learned various communication and team work skills as well as physical skills such as, hand fitting, CNC and manual machining, Mig and tig welding and various other skills.

I am enjoying the phsycal work aspect of the apprenticship but found that the college work is very long and stressful

At the begining of my apprenticship the structure was very poor due to the development of the new program, but the kinks and problems are slowly being ironed out with big improvements.

During the apprenticeship i have receaved alot of support including maths tutoring and one on one meetings to discuss my progress.

I have receved alot of support over the 3/4 year from my training provider who has been able to give me advice on how to achgive the best grade possible.

I feel that it has helped to expand my knowledge and put the theroy behind each task in to practice.

There are various activitys that you can get involved with out side of work. examples of these includes family events, and sport events (PGA tours and motorsport) and can help raise morel in the work place.
