My current role, I am working closely under 3 projects to manage the clients risk and issues of these projects. I take minutes and actions in various meeting. As well, I work with the BA and support them in creating various data outputs.
I have learnt many skills: Project Manager action plans Explored more ways to use Excel more efficiently Professional skills
I enjoy the courses I am currently in, CGI gives a lot of support throughout the process in developing your professional and academic career. The knowledge I am learning and interesting and most importantly it is relevant in the 'real world'.
The programme has a clear structure and you know what the next steps will be. There is good communication between lectures and managers so everyone is aware who needs to be.
The support CGI gives: Mentor - this gives a deeper insight of the workplace and supports university if you wish. Coach - This can help develop any skills that you may think needs to be strengthen. Buddy - Someone you meet before you start work to ease you in to the transition.
You have access to online training portal where there are lots of e-learning available 24/7. Various external training courses available e.g. Prince 2
It gives you better knowledge and gives you more knowledge about the industry. This is important in my role, as having these skills helps me keep developing.
Yes I am part of Social group where get discounted events or free events that you can go as group. There are various sports groups to take part in You get a paid work day to participate in voluntary work
