My experience has been brilliant. Past jobs managers have treated me very poorly but here i have been treated as one of the team and one to believe in. With people believing and supporting me i have been able to achieve much more then i expected to. My general role is taking calls and talking to customers helping to advise and guide them to products of their wants or needs.
I have learnt how to perform an effective sales pitched designed to maximise the interest of the customer. How to work efficiently while keeping on my toes answering questions for a customer. I have furthered my product knowledge as i have always had an interest in technology. I have also been working on my confidence to be more effective with my customers.
I have had a really enjoyable experience being a part of a team that care more then just about the numbers but also the well being of its team members. I like being part of a company where we can put our heads together to come up with better sales pitches and tactics.
The program from a human stand point was well structured the trainer we had was very efficient in getting us up to speed for the job. The managers i worked closest with are understanding and supportive with all learning and development. The only area lacking is the hardware. While working the computers are slow and vastly outdated and are in dire need up updating as glitches and crashes are common and can be disruptive.
I received support at every point i asked for help. Dixons carphone cares about their staff so i have always been offered and given help where needed. This has aided to improve and motivate me to create a better level of work. My team manager always makes sure to get to know his staff so to know if there is any room for improvement.
Our trainer was with us for 8 hours a day for two weeks. We were shown presentations, work documents, mock calls, we were given talks explaining certain situations and how to handle them. He would also observe us to see and special areas in which we need to focus us to work towards our strengths.
My qualification does not help me perform better the experience gained from the qualification is what i find important. It is through the training that i have been able to face situations and come out the other side with a positive outcome that that to me is the true qualification. The action of doing.
There are extra activities outside of work that colleagues like to attend. Due to being an introvert and dont like to partake the the types of trips and activities other colleges enjoy as i prefer the quiet and relaxing doing activities of my own choosing. There is a social network specific for staff but i am not signed up as i dont like social media.
Yes
Because the staff is actually cared about so long as you are invested in the company. And struggles are noted and worked in to increase achievements. In addition the general atmosphere are the workplace is much less stressful then most other places of work i have experienced. Hard work is rewarded
Just be honest when applying. As long as you are an honest person who is willing to work hard. There will always be groups of people to support and drive you forwards to achieve better things and higher targets. It helps to have an interest in technology as this will help you to enjoy the role more.
