RBS invoice Finance, managing a portfolio of client who factor invoices we then chase there customer for payment, when we get a payment we use a remittance to allocate the payment, we also arrange regular weekly calls with our client to keep them up to date with how there accounts are, we are also a point of contact for them for any queries they have
building relationships, team work, communication , these are the main skills which I have developed during my time working for RBS and my current role and they do keep progressing, we always try to communicate effectively and work as part of a team, are main job role is building relationships, so this is a key skill which you can develop.
its a good form of learning and an experience as I am doing a lot of new things for example creating my own charity event & managing my own meeting, which could help toward any future roles in which I undertake, I can also use these examples in interview competencies in the future.
everything is organised through an online portal which is easy to track were you are and plan ahead, the portal is simple and user friendly which helps with any planning in which you need to do, I also have a tutor for my work so if I have any issues they can always help.
daily support, I can ask questions whenever I need and get answers usually immediately, we also have regular meeting, these can be weekly or daily in which you can raise any concerns that you have and you will usually get an answered for this straight away, you can also put forward any suggestions you may have for change.
I have monthly calls and they are contactable whenever I need any assistance, I can either email them call them or message them through the online portal, if my tutor is not available when I can I have a direct number for my training provider who can answer any questions I have.
it is building a lot of new skills and making me more confident in my current role. we take part in a lot of new activities in which you would not usually be able to undertake, this really helps develop you as a person and help you work towards your goals
on the back of the charity event I organised we now arrange regular football matches with colleagues at work which helps boost morale, we have all developed a good relationship and become quite close friends were we do meet up outside of work, were regular team meals and such events are organised.
No
there isn't much job security, as RBS are trying to automate a lot of processes meaning they will be aiming to have less staff in the future, something which I don't really agree with as we all work very hard for the bank, but it is the way a lot of business are trying to go.
hard to say as I don't really agree with the recruitment process that RBS use as I firstly came as a temp I had to wait for over a year before the role I am currently on became available, the main thing I would say is to practise competency questions and your role playing skills.
