Account Handler Review

I am an Insurance apprentice, and I am responsible for handling many accounts, assisting with placing policies at renewal and servicing accounts during the policy period.

I have developed many existing skills, including my communication and my organizational skills. I have learnt many things, including appropriate office etiquette along with learning how to improve my networking skills to build relationships with underwriters and colleagues.

I thoroughly enjoy my job, and feel that Willis gives me both the support and resources to consistently improve my knowledge and skills. I enjoy working with my colleagues, with each day being different from the last.

The programme is very well structured, as I am aware of what I need to do and when to meet my apprenticeship deadlines. The portfolio building is a long process but is made as easy and streamlined as possible.

My employer always encourages me to meet my apprenticeship deadlines and consistently helps me within my day to day job role.

I am very well supported by my training provider - they always ensure I know what I need to do and when it needs to be done by. They make the process as efficient as possible and always give help and feedback.

My qualification helps me to understand my job role further as I am required to complete exams on the London Market and different insurance principles.

There are always activities to get involved in - whether this be networking events with underwriters or a team social outing.

We are very well looked after as employees, with progression always being available if wanted. It is easy to get involved with bigger projects and networking to allow you to put your name within the Insurance Market.
