I am a business risk manager within operational risk for HSBC. I work within the Chief Operating Office dealing with risks that include Data Privacy, Data Corruption, and System Outages. My role is on behalf of the risk owner to ensure that the risk is rated and assessed effectively, any issues or breaches of the risks are escalated through the relevant governance form
Although I wouldn't say I have learnt new skills as part of my qualification, this has emphasised the principles behind what I do in my day to day role and give reason to why this is important for the organisation to have a robust risk culture and implementation of a risk framework
I have found the learning materials difficult as I feel they don't cater for all learning styles.
Clear stucture on what is required.
Line manager support given

Gave me a better understanding of relevant frameworks, however not that i'd use day to day to give an improvement in my role

I enjoyed the learning and picking up a qualification, however this didnt seem like a good use of time or add value to my development with portfolio work and trying to evidence outcomes.
