Overall my job involves serving different customer types on a day to day basis, searching for and booking their holidays to numerous destinations around the world. I am also responsible for dealing with booking issues and complaints etc for our customers with issues from anything such as flight cancellations to people not being happy with their holiday.
I have developed a great deal of confidence and dealing with so many different types of people has helped me with that. My administrative skills have improved and I am much more organised in the way I deal with my day to day knowing how to prioritise my day in order to not miss any of my important jobs
I find aspects of it difficult such as finishing the time to carry out the work load whilst still doing the same job as everyone else, working in a superstore a great deal is expected of you so balancing the 2 can be difficult. I have however really enjoyed the experience and meeting so many different people
Could be better as we could see our assessor more however she is stretched quite thinly across all off the apprentices and they are looking to get us more assesors
I receive support as much as they can and we are in discussions to allow for additional support for me in the way of which giving me more time in store to get the work done etc
None
I am more aware of travel industry must knows, there as certain products I am really confident on selling due to the e-learnings we have done with it etc. I have learned more than what we are required to know as a minimum as a team and that allows me to support my colleagues
I used to compete in showjumping and I had my own horse however my time between work and carrying out my additional e-learnings pushed that out and I simply didn’t have enough time. I do however still have a good social life and spend time with my friends as much A’s possible
Yes
I have never been in a team that have truely felt like family, all of my colleagues and managers are nothing but friendly. Meeting so many nice people and working as part of such a strong team within such a strong company is something incomparable. I really do love working for TUI
Be as confident as you can. It’s a high pressure job at times so don't be afraid to say if you need extra help with anything. Use your colleagues for everything, they are the best support you can ask for. Don’t be afraid of anything the job can throw at you
