On a day to day basis i do a variety of different things, some of these include paying invoices and assisting my mentor in his daily tasks. However, lately i have been given my own jobs that i am taking a lead on which has allowed me to develop at a high rate.
Most definitely, i have picked up more skills than i could ever imagine. i have also developed existing skills so that they are applicable to my role and the industry. I am now learning how to stick to deadlines when under pressure and i am confident that i will learn a lot more in the future.
i enjoy the programme a lot. As most days there is always new things to learn allowing me to progress further and further in my career. Some days are stressful but only like any other job would be and the good times definitely out weigh the bad. I am really enjoying my role here.
The programmer is reasonably well structures and it is getting better as it progresses. I feel like the team are getting used to having apprentices and they are now starting to utilise us more and more. we also have a good college set up which is vital as it provides us with the knowledge that we can apply to our job.
I feel like we receive a lot of support from our employer and there is always someone there no matter what the situation be. There are multiple different programmes throughout the company that offer many different types of support. Also we are encourage to ask and to utilize these services.
We have regular one to one meeting discussing our progress in our career. We also discuss different things that we could do better on allowing us to develop further in our career. This allows us to know what we could do better in our roles and to develop. it is also nice that we get feedback on how we are doing.
Our qualification gives as a broad knowledge of the industry that we work in and it means that with the support from the employer we are able to develop even further. From college i have learnt a lot about how different aspects of the industry work and it is very interesting.
Yes there are many social events that we are encouraged to use. i regularly play football with the people from work and it allows you to get to know everyone there and build bridges as such. It is nice to see colleagues outside of work and bonding which you don't get in a lot of places.
Yes
I would recommend the programme as it allows you to develop your skills and gain a lot of knowledge. There is always someone there to support you and everyone is patient when training you. I also think that this company offers you more opportunities than most of the other companies in this industry
I think the company like people who are confident and people who are just themselves. JN Bentley seems to like people who don't try to be someone who they are not. If you are willing to learn and patient then you will receive many great opportunities throughout the company.
