I manage teams online taking technical calls from customers needing support with their Accounts/Payroll software. I support with recruiting onboarding and day to day management of these teams within customer services. My team can have anywhere between 16-30 people in it. With the support of IT, training HR and Grad bay managers, I ensure that the right candidates are selected and are appropriately trained coached and managed through an intensive grad bay 12 month period until they are ready to join another team
I have learned a lot in terms of working better with different learning styles and personality types. I have always been very good at spotting what type of person someone is and clarifying this with the right questioners to support their training but I am now very effective in interlinking groups and utilising my skills to better help them to support each other and work better and more effectively utilising their differences. I've learned how to use certain models Iv never used within my role to help me to problem solve and manage difficult prioritising in my role.
I'm really enjoying the program and the fact that I get to apply all of my classroom theory and learning in my role to help me become abetter manager. I think the company have been fantastically supportive in allowing m the time and the revenue to peruse this level 5 apprenticeship to help me to become a more effective manager
I think the program is very well structured, we are given assignments way ahead of time and the company work very effectively with the colleges they work with in order to ensure that they allocate the right amount or more for off the job learning. Sage are committed to ensuring that apprentices enjoy their experience and feel huge supported and they have had great feedback from the colleges they work with to suggest they are one of the best , if not the best at providing this level of support and communication
Sage work hard in order to ensure that they allocate the right amount or more for off the job learning. Sage are committed to ensuring that apprentices enjoy their experience and feel hugely supported and they have had great feedback from the colleges they work with to suggest they are one of the best , if not the best at providing this level of support and communication
My training provider have allocated extra time recently to help me and my employer to get on track as I went on maternity leave in the middle of the course and the tutor changed over due the timing in when I came back but they have been so flexible in arranging out of hours time to catch up and run through any questions and provide loads of support whenever needed to help me to get back on track. This has been the difference between me pulling out and actually coming back confident I can manage this a new challenge at work and a 1 tear old at home.
I honestly think that the techniques I have been learning are really useful and when applying some of them within work it has really helped me to look at things slightly differently and reviewing the big picture and key stakeholders has helped me to foresee potential risks and arrange plans to mitigate these with the right stakeholders.
