An overview of my role is that i provide a day to day customer service to all Sages customer who use Sage Payroll and have cover for support. I must provide a high standard of customer service to every customer and take responsibility of all my calls. I also must complete my apprenticeship course work to.
The biggest skill i feel i have developed while working at Sage is my confidence. At the start i was very nervous talking to customers and when giving solutions to customers. this affect as customers found it hard to believe i knew what i was doing and asked if i was new or to speak to someone else. Another skill i feel i have developed is my communication skills. I feel very open now to talk to any colleague or speak out if i need help with something
I enjoy my program as i have started with other people similar to my age so it has been very easy to get settled and speaking to my fellow colleagues. When i started my training i was moved away from the other apprentices i was put into a team of people older than me, but with this move i have been made very welcomed and made sure my course work is still a top priority for me
I only issue i had with my apprenticeship is when i stared i had to start my training later due to not enough computers, but once i've now settled i have no issues with the structure and i am still on track with everything being done and i am not missing out on anything with me not being with the other apprentices
I receive a lot of support when it comes to on the phones and my course work. I have my manager and coach making sure mi staying track when it comes to the job role and i have my tutors and manager making sure my course work is all up to date and checking if i need any extra time for it
I receive a lot of support from my training provider. They make sure what work needs to be done and provide a time it needs to be done by. if i am falling behind they will checkup on me and ask why that is if i need any extra support or offline time to catch up
My course work helps me perform better as it is all linked towards my role. We discuss way how i can grow as a person when it comes to my role and how i can take bad situations from the past and improve on them in the future. We track i how felt at the start, when i first started my role and see how i have developed throughout
An extra currcicular activity we can get involved in at Sage is a Sage foundation day. this gives employees of Sage a day of which they can do something, this could be charity work for an example. I have done one of these days already while being at Sage and we went down to a local charity for the day and help out with any work they needed to be done
Yes
I would recommend a friend because i have felt very welcomed while being at Sage. There's lots of different opportunities for people to go into other departments or grow in their role. Everyone at Sage i very easy to talk to and i dont feel i cant talk to anyone and if i have any issues i can easily speak to my manager in privite
1 advice i would give is be yourself as people will see through that and you wont get hired. As long as yourself and leave a good image behind with what you want people to think of you then you will be great at sage. Sage is all about teamwork so if you try and be selfish or dont want to be prepared to work with others then you wont be very successful.
