Deal with customer requests and assist them on a day to day basis with their personal banking needs and requirements. i can set up direct debits and make payments for people, i can help with credit cards, report cards lost and stolen. help people understand some of the more complexed matters in regards to any accounts they may have.
Yes i have learnt alot of new skills which are highly applicable to everday life for my own financial needs and requirements. Also has helped develop my communication and social skills as i deal with people everyday. I have learnt about different aspects of banking which i never knew existed and these are all relevant for myself also.
The apprenticeship itself has been shambles and has taken months for us to even get started which is'nt very professional however the job role itself is enjoyable as i am always learning new things which are applicable to everyday life. this role has helped me to become more in control of my own banking needs.
the apprenticeship has been awful. we were meant to start in January 2019 however only started it in May 2019. i personally dont understand the need for some of the material involved to be able to complete the apprenticeship. Now that we have started there is some structure to the programme which is easy enough to follow
support is available when needed, if not from team manager i can ask other memebers of my team or even my seniors for help and they are usually always willing to provide help. I feel like i can ask anything and i will receive advice or help from anyone within the centre
so for we have received very little and what we have received feels very rushed since we have started so late in the year. getting in cntact with the training provider isnt easy and sometime can be waiting a couple days for a response however the support is adequate enough
only very slightly as most of the material we have to learn for the qualification is in terms of banking across the whole of the UK whereas i work for HSBC, therefore sometimes i get confused about certain regulations or certain practice as it is different for every bank. some of the content however helps a great deal.
I think so, not really too interested in attending or taking part so i havent asked too much about extra-curricular actitives. im sure if i asked and would like to take part in some of these activities then i would absaloutly be ok in doing so. Atmosphere at work is good however.

The working environment is great and the role itself is quite enjoyable. there are also a lot of extra perks you receive for working at HSBC such as discounts on certain products and alos there is a points system which you can build up points and use to purchase things.
first make sure when you are applying that you are fully aware of the role you are applying for as it may not be stated in the application details itself which seems bizzare but happend to me. let me refer you so that we get a bonus. use all the perks received wisely
