Day to day apprentices are on the phone taking calls, speaking to customers of Santander, doing requests for customers such as confirming balances helping them get online and making payments for them. once a week we have an hour off the phone to try and complete apprenticeship work on time.
I have learnt to be able to speak more confidently on the phone and to be able to speak differently to different customers regarding there situations. I have also learnt more about banking and the actual financial side of things to an actual bank rather then it just being a job
the programme isn't what I expected it to be as when I came for the interview at first didn't realise it was a call centre. also think there isn't much side to do actual apprenticeship work, as its more about just doing the job rather than the actual course
The programme is a bit confusing as most weeks we are unsure what apprentice work we should be doing, we get time off the phone for training purposes which is good but regarding the actual work for the course I think we need more time a week to be able to complete it
i would say they give us the time for training for the actual job eg how to speak to customers but for actual apprentice work personally think we need more time to complete apprenticeship work as normal apprenchips have a day at college to complete coursework where as we don't.
to be honest not a lot, see the trainer provider for an hour a month and get told to do the same thing, the apprenticeship is more to do with the actual job and not the qualification as we do the same as full time colleagues there is nothing different.
i think that the training helps as every time we have training we learn something new which means that we learn more about the job and the banking side of things. but the trainer is through Santander for the actual job, not bbp the actual training provider for the qualification
yes there is the site has a Santander football team which go and compete with different sites across the uk there is also a lot of different range of networks that you can join eg, women in business and lgbt network that can look good if you join for the apprenticeship
Yes
because its good pay for an apprenticeship and you learn a lot of new skills and get to work in a team which is actual good and even though its shift works some of the shifts are good and they offer lots of benfits eg overtime and being able to leave early and work it back and it isn't hard to get day off
that its a call centre as it didn't say that on the job description for the apprenticeship, but it does if you want to have a full or part time job here, its also a good job where you can progress in it and work towards different things within santander
