  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • In safety and security I have to review safety reports that have been submitted by cabin crew onboard when they face a safety issue. This can include things like somebody being sick onboard, to a fire in the galley. I have to classify these and risk them on our internal system.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I am really enjoying my programme so far. I have found that all other employees are really kind and welcoming so made me feel really at home. I think what I enjoy most about this programme is that we get to do 6 months in 4 different departments which is really interesting.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I always feel supported and there is always somebody that I can talk too. I have a programme manager and then in my placement I have a placement manager and a mentor within my department. This is really useful as it means there is always somebody around to talk to.

  • At B A there are many different activities for people to get involved in, especially around Christmas time. There are many opportunities to network around the business with lots of different types of people. • 9a. Would you recommend British Airways to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Great company to work for, so many different opportunities, they want to see people be successful. It has a competitive salary and also comes with some great benefits such as cheaper flights and standby flights. Although don't choose it for the perks, choose it because you are interested in it.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to British Airways?
  • Enjoy the experience and the recruitment process even though it is very tough. If you get through to the recruitment stage then just be yourself on the day. Your assessors had to do it once as well. We know you are nervous but you don't need to be. We want you to do well.
