I work with servicing loans in my team which means withdrawing from loans and opening loans as well as other day to day tasks such as delegating work to my team and getting workflow figures to do time management and figure out whether we need support or give support out
I have learned a lot whilst working here at Barclays I have gained more skills in regards to confidence as I am now able to speak in front of people I have learned excel skills as well as learning the processes that we do within my workplace at Barclays Bank
I enjoy the programme a lot the working aspect is great and learning new processes as well as learning about the customer journey as well as not just how to do something but why we do it adds a massive importance to the work that we do within Barclays Bank
The working in Barclays portion of this is really really great I gain so much experience on the job as well as grow to be the best I can be within Barclays however the Damar part was sometimes poorly organized with a lack of communication nut we eventually sorted this.
My employers provide a lot of support for the apprentices allowing time out to work on the coursework as well as offering people to talk to with certain subjects in order to help us with how to answer certain questions and ultimately help us with the coursework we were given
We received a decent amount of support however occasionally it was not there when we needed it which caused problems for us. The communication between us and the training provider was quite poor at times as we had deadlines to meet and were struggling to be able to at times
I feel it has helped me with my ICT and Excel skills a lot as I have definitely gained more knowledge on that as well as my team working skills which I know will continue to help me in the future. It has helped my confidence as I as well
I have been involved in LifeSkills sessions whereby a group of people at my workplace go to schools and talk to them about Money Skills, Financial skills and internet safety these are really good projects as it helps me with my confidence as well as informs children at the schools.
Yes
I would recommend Barclays to a friend as I believe that you can gain a lot of experience here and the possibilities are endless there are always opportunities to learn more and experience other parts of the bank which is what would definitely make me recommend Barclays to a friend
Don't worry about not being sure if some things aren't your strengths as there a loads of job roles and opportunities for you to find the role that suits you and caters to your strengths which is ultimately what Barclays want to do is to show off strengths
