On a day to day basis I can be involved in different types of tasks. It can consist of admin tasks like responding to emails and filling out expenses. Also I could be working on a project for a client. I could be at an event around the London/UK.
I have worked on a few projects during my first year at HPE Including: working with data (analysis and visualisation) more specifically a software called Power BI by Microsoft. Also I have been involved in an Office 365 migration project. In addition, worked on a SharePoint migration moving an Acquisition companies data into HPE's tenant.
I was lucky enough to be placed in a part of the business which I am interested in and I am working with tools and technologies I enjoy. It is important to enjoy what you do. I feel the apprenticeship balances on the job and off the job training well.
I feel the programme is very well structured for on the job training however the off the job training could be improved. The degree delivery can be improved a lot as it contains old material and students are not being prepared for the exams as well as they could be.
I feel I receive a lot of support from my employer and have a manager who is open and approachable so if i need any additional support I just have to ask. In general I get all the support i need and the development days fill in the gaps where needed.
I would say I don't receive as much support as I expected from our training provider as I feel more up to date material could be made available to us. Although there have been improvements since we have given them feedback. It is important to speak up if you have any issues.
I feel the qualification fits in perfectly into the role i do at work and i have already seen links and relatable content within my qualification. It goes hand in hand and the modules can be changed around based on your role and the job you do. This works really well.
There are lots of oppurtunities to get involved in extra curricular activities and if there arent you have the oppurtunity to take charge and organise your own activities. For example, in our office we play football every friday lunchtimes and there have been other activities that took place recently such as 'tough mudder'.

A great company to work for and a company that genuinely cares for its employees. There are amazing people who you can learn from and really excel your career with. Everyone is on board with the apprenticeship scheme and fully support it. So a great company to start your career in tech.
Be open and authentic. Be sociable and get to know as many people as you can. Take time to learn about the company before your assessment day. Be prepared to talk about what you can bring to the company and how you will make an impact. Why are you unique?
