  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Within the local department we have a close knit team in which has benefited my massively in my progress as an apprentice. The apprenticeship has enabled me to develop on a personal level, gaining additional skills which i can take away from the workplace. i have greatly enjoyed the apprenticeship during the 4 years

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The induction to work was organised as the primary joining steps for the company. the training provided by the college was poorly organised with the company. This training required a high level of apprentice pushing to ensure that the correct training was provided. within placements support was excellent from the local department, however from the HR there was little to no support

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • my manager is in constant contact to ensure that i have the required support to complete my role. HR team has limited to no support with poor response. the local department provides as much support as is required. if they cannot support i am told who can assist with any issues that i have.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Warwickshire College provided excellent support for the Level 3 BTEC qualification. Once onto the HNC route there was no support with poor lecture quality. during the second year of HNC i have had no physical lectures, all learning has been distance learning with no materials provided. from the college i do not enjoy attending.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • From the Qualifications gained during my apprenticeship, i feel like they have provided me with a baseline in which i have built on. During the first year (primarily at college), i feel that this has given me a good grounding which during my placement rotations i have developed on. However some of the techniques which have been taught at college are incorrect and not used in industry which has been a fallback when applying to my day to day job.

  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Cummins provide a safe workplace in which daily work is rewarded with good pay and job security. If you do not know the answer then say so as this will be noted as a positive. assessment days make sure your voice is heard, as well as allow other persons voices to be heard. They are looking for team players during these sessions
