I validate invoices received to ensure that services are being charged for at the correct tariff rate and fall under the responsibility of Doncaster CCG and Send queries in response to invoice backing where there are any duplications, patients that we have been charged for that are not Doncaster registered, services that are not paid for by the CCG or incorrect value for a spell of activity. I reconcile the invoice spreadsheet with the ledger.
i have developed my skills in this role i am now more efficient at using the microsoft excel. We do skills different skills days which have been helpful in aquiring and developing new skills and so far i have been on: 1) problem solving and decision making 2) effective skills for analysing 3) business awareness 4) handling difficult people & situations 5)Project management
the program that i am on is very good in that i get time to go in to a college to learn the course material. in the classes we get time to go through questions and learn the exam techniques that enable me to be able to pass the exams. i also enjoy skills days these are days designed to enhance skills and learn new skills so not only will i get technical knowledge but also soft skills.
the program is well structured and is flexible to accomodate what i as a student need. so i was not able to do a module because of family challenges and i was able to move my module so i could do it at a later date. and you always get the materials that you require and reminder emails of when classes begin.
My employer has been very helpful in my course they have help in paying for my travel and for paying for my exams. They also have given me the necessary time off that i need to be able complete my apprenticeship . They also are there to help out in making sure i have what i need to be able to do the apprenticeship.
Training provider is very supportive and go beyond the call of duty. They make sure that any questions that i have in regards to the course are answered and they are available round the clock to answer any questions. They make sure you get what you need to be able to do well in the exams.
My qualifications help me broaden my thinking therefore i am able to look for ways in which i can transfer what i learn to make the processes more efficient and easier to use. Because of the course i am getting more responsibilities that can only improve the skills that i have, i have already started doing more research to improve on the work that i do now and have seen changes in response times from organisations i request information from and its down to me being on this course.
We are subscribe to a organisation called FSD financial skills development for the NHS and they run course s that help improve skills and well being and at these particular courses we get to network with other professionals within the NHS. Doncaster CCG also gets involved in charity football game where we have had a team represented.

NHS is a great employer and it is a big organisation which employs a lot of people in the uk probably the largest employer, and as such there are lots of opportunities with in the organisation. The colleges that i work with are brilliant and they want to see you succeed and are passionate about the work that they do because of this i believe it is a good place to work.
When applying to the NHS you need to do some research into the particular organization that your are applying to and make sure you know what they do, you can go further by even calling to find out more about the organisation. You also must have the desire to want to work for this organization it will come through when you are doing your interview.
