I work in a team who I interact with everyday. I set up products and maintaining them with changing cost prices both seasonly and general ad hoc using a wide variety of systems. I track income and expenses, ensuring correct packing and marketing is used on our products and general admin
At the end of my apprenticeship I would gain a qualification, I do internal training on innovation, building confidence, collaboration, insights, resilience, empathy, influencing and excel and I have been able to develop my analytical skill through my role. I've also developed my communication skills through having to interact actively in my team and suppliers
I think Tesco has a good company culture as they offer a good work and life balance. With the apprenticeship programme I have 20% off the job to be able to work on my tasks. I also like the way the course is structured as it goes along side my job and my development is clear.
I feel that my programme is very well organised and structured that allows me plan ahead to ensure that I will be able to complete my task within the deadline set but also be able to do my job in a timely way which makes my development path clear and easy to follow.
I feel that I get the right amount of support from my employer as I'm given 20% off my job to be able to focus fully on my apprenticeship work this allows me to develop and complete the task set but also have people I can ask for help.
I receive a good amount of support, at beginning of unit we have a full day of development where we learn about different areas of the unit and then we are given deadlines to meet and are able to contact my trainer through email at any point between development days. Also, are given 12 weekly meeting to monitor our development.
I feel that my role and programme link well, there is several units in my programme and each is able to link to my job. For example my current unit is effective communication from learning this i now feel more confident in communicating in more effective ways and making the most out of communicating
I interactive socially with my team out of work which allows better team work due to knowing each other better but there is a lot of social activities that you can join such as sport teams e.g. football. There is also the gym where there is classes everyday and all day.
Yes
I think its a good place to work as you able to develop both personal skills and work skills. I like the working environment as we use hot desking which allows you to interact with different people in your team. I also like how the way the employees are treated and the involvement
I would say that you should attend several basic training courses when you first join as they are very beneficial. Also to use productpedia as it really hepful when your unsure of something and the tesco resources as they are really handy. Also, if you don't understand the jargon used just ask
