I've gained the Investment Operations Certificate as I've now finished my apprenticeship. I'm now categorised as at an Advanced level on Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access and VBA. I've developed my time management skills a lot, as well as learning a lot about communication. When to use different types of communication etc.
The variety of work that I have is excellent, the company provides a lot of opportunities inside and outside of work. The apprenticeship scheme is also brilliant for providing opportunities to network etc.
The trainer provider wasn't the best when I first joined. The course felt poorly managed and at times quite disorganised. There was still a lot of support provided for us in the form of tutoring sessions though. They have now changed provider and I've heard from apprentices that are still on the scheme that it is now much better.
Not really much I can fault when it comes to this - support is excellent all round. The HR Team are especially good as they will help you with any problems you may have, my manager was extremely supportive during the apprenticeship and continues to be after the scheme.
The salary is excellent for an entry level role - I myself was still living with my parents and my commuting costs were fairly cheap so I found that I had a lot more money than I needed to cover my costs. There are also apprentices that live on their own in Central London that still have spare money to use at their leisure.
