As an apprentice engineer I generally help out on site with day to day activities that help me to build up as much knowledge in the industry as possible. Setting out and levelling is the interesting part to the job as there is always something new to learn.
Definitely, without noticing it is automatic to pick up several things through the working day and continuously develop knowledge and understanding.
Although some days go quiet, I find the industry on whole very interesting and have from a young age. I enjoy work and also get along with those I work with however sometimes wish it was a bit busier.
I feel that some content in my programme is very well structured. When presented it is made easy to pick up and understand however wish it was heavier workloads to help develop more skills.
Support from employees and employer is always very good, if I ask for help or support It is always there.
My training provider is regularly in contact and helps me as a student develop my skills and understanding.
I feel that the qualification is very relevant to my job role and I often cross reference knowledge from college to work likewise work to college.
Yes very often there is something going on that anyone can get involved in.
