My daily role involves dealing with customer queries and trying to assist them with any issues that they may have. I am a multi skilled advisor which means I can assist with fault, billing and order management issues the customer may have. For example set up direct debit, order phone line or report a fault.
I have developed my customer experience skills within the workplace as before I was in customer facing roles however this platform is on a much greater scale and feel it is much more beneficial in developing further my customer experience skills. The reason for this is due to the coaching experiences that are offered to myself within the role.
I enjoy the day to day job of my programme, learning on the job and helping make a positive change to peoples life's and business, I also enjoy my apprenticeship days as It gives me the opportunity to understand more about the company and develop my skills off the job which I feel is just as important.
I think the organisation/structure of the programme is carried out well as I get a full day scheduled every three works to work on my apprenticeship. When starting the job in September we were given new entrant training which eased us into the role and prepared us for the future.
I receive lots of support from my employer, there is lots of time allocated to discuss work and any issues I may be experiencing, every coach, manager and assessor on site is very friendly and approachable which really helps as you feel like you have constant support throughout the apprenticeship.
I receive lots of support from my training provider, they meet with myself face to face every 3 weeks and are always supportive and helpful if I ever had any queries with anything regarding the apprenticeship or the job role itself I feel I would be able to discuss this with my assessor with ease as they are very supportive and motivating.
I feel that my qualification delivered through my training provider helps me to perform better in my job role as the information provided at the assessment study days is always relevant to my role and their is time to discuss things in depth with regards to queries about the role itself.
There are lots of different extra curricular activities to get involved in at work, as there is team night outs to help team building and bonding there is also a football five asides league that runs during the week which is also good for team bonding and camaraderie. There is also opportunity to plan volunteering events.
Yes
The reason I would recommend BT to a friend is because it is a professional company to work for who cares about its employees and has the correct support in place to help with any workplace issues, they are a very inclusive and positive thinking company with great employee benefits and they also pay a very competitive wage.
I would advice anyone applying to BT to complete some research on the company before applying make sure to prepare well for interviews, show positivity about the role that they are applying for and take the chance while you can because it is an amazing opportunity that should not be turned down.
