An overview of my job on a day to day would include a morning of inspecting any faults on the trains. Then fixing them if I could or and the parts were in stock. I’d be working with a technician and usually have breaks about 3 times a day.
I’m always gaining new skills working at my place as there’s always so much to do. I feel like I’ve learnt how to use various tools since starting my job role and I’ve gained good skills in visually inspecting components and checking they’re ok. I’d say my skills still have room for improvement
I find my programme quite enjoyable. It’s pretty simple and not really too difficult gaining my qualifications whilst at work. I earn money and I’m doing well. I feel like it could be a bit better as sometimes work is just way too busy with tasks but if you don’t mind it’s fine
Like I mentioned in my previous question it’s nice gaining qualifications whilst working as well, I find it’s structured well making it easy for me to complete my programme which is good as there’s no stress and I have a lot of time to do my assignments
My employer are fairly supportive. I’m always buddied up with someone and usually that person is really helpful if I have any questions my employer also check my progress and see how I am getting on and make and comments if I need to improve which I find useful
My training provider are excellent I can’t fault them. They always check and monitor my progress. They always get together with me and ask if I need any support with anything and how everything is going which is really kind and helpful they really go the extra mile and push me
The qualifications are specific and built relevant to my job so it’s always useful and giving me a better understanding on the job. I feel that I’ve learnt about useful things and having an understanding how things function helps me look for what could go wrong if that makes sense
It’s difficult to fit extra curricular activities in being that we are so busy in work and then I’m busy after work I find myself being tired a lot however around Christmas time we all got together and was good to go out with a few of the guys
Yes
I would recommend if you like your time to go quickly at work. It’s a good place to work and it’s a friendly environment. We all work well with one another and try our bests to help eAchother so that we can get the job done by the deadlines given
I would give advice to people applying to bombardier to start with a good cv that has your photo on it making sure there’s no spelling mistakes and it’s important to do this well as this is the very first impression the company will have of you so make sure it’s short but has enough information.
