My role involves looking after the relationship manager and completing all tasks that they request. I often answer customer emails and reply to any queries. I speak to customers via the phone and in person. I make sure that the relationship manager has all of the required information on file in order for them to proceed with their application.
I am constantly learning new skills , every task that I am asked to do is different and requires me to learn something new every time. I am enjoying being in the banking environment as it enables me to progress with my career and learn new skills. I have enjoyed my experience so far.
I really enjoy my programme, however I do feel like that there is a lack of support in order to progress through the job role, from the external programme. I think that they could be more attentive, however I do understand that they look after a huge amount of people and it must be hard to contact everyone at once.
My programme is fairly well structured. HSBC have arranged quarterly visits to their main office in Birmingham which enables everyone to get together and discuss how everyone is getting on. I think that we are given a good amount of air time and get to give our view on how the programme is being run.
I receive a lot of support from my employer they are very helpful and understand my needs. I would recommend my employer to anyone. HSBC really care about their employees and are able to give us the support we need to succeed and progress within our career. HSBC is a good place to work.
I don't receive a lot of support with my course, I think that the company have forgotten about the course as they tend not to check on you after 5 months in. I think they started off being fantastic, however something has slipped. It could be better, but there may be some changes later on in the year.
I feel that the qualification will help me tremendously with my job role. I can see that the qualification will help me within the role and will enable me to progress and gain more knowledge about the bank and the different requirements for all of the products that the bank have to offer.
There are a lot of extra activities that I can get involved in at work to help me progress within my job role , I often look for new courses that can help me with using the software and processes. There is always something new to learn and new activities to get involved with.
Yes
HSBC is like a family once you are there you stay and progress, there are a lot of new career paths to take which can enable you to broaden your knowledge and widen your career path.
Always be yourself and push to succeed onto new things as there are so many jobs out there which means you can push to succeed and really make something of yourself. The future is very bright in HSBC, and has many positive paths to take. I highly recommend this bank.
