My work experience involved me learning how to use the cash register and where things go in the store and how the store works, I learnt about all the safety exits and what to do in case of an emergency I also got to face customers and help them with their shopping
From my work experience I got good at using the tills and managing money I also gained good relationships with customers and learnt how to talk to them in a good manner which meant they were happy with their time. I also learnt how much goes into organising the shop
My work experience was really good and I really enjoyed it. Everyone was so kind and helpful and everyone made me feel welcome right from the first day! I enjoyed it so much that I will really consider it when applying for a job or even an apprenticeship scheme that they offer
It was really organised the manager met me on the day and talked me through all the safety procedures. I also got shown around and introduced to everyone who was working on the day after that I was paired up with someone who had been working there for a few months
I learnt a lot about the company culture I learnt that it was a friendly place of work and all the staff were treated with respect and treated eAchother equally I think it would be a really good place to have a good career and the management team are amazing
It has easily persuaded me into choosing a career path in customer faced roles I enjoyed being able to have different conversations and being able to help people with their shopping I liked working on the tills and found time went by really quickly which is always a bonus when at work
I was paid minimum wage for the short period of time I was there and I liked having the independence and earning a little bit of extra money it really nudged me to getting motivated and getting a proper job working for a good and organised company. I also liked it
As soon as I came in I was greeted politely and shown where I could meet the manager after that I was shown around and introduced to all of the staff and over my short period of time in the work place I became friendly with a lot of them

Tips I picked up were that Aldi love people being enthusiastic about their job they like it when people apply for work experience and it gives you a good step above other applicants if they already know you and how you act. I found it easy to get along with Everyone and this worked well for me
